Ten 99 Cent EBooks on Kindle

While the traditional publishing industry undergoes a sweeping recalibration, the self-published authors and independents are enjoying an explosion. Never before has it been easier to produce and distribute books, without obtaining approval from the “gatekeepers” of traditional publishing. Some argue that this trend has allowed intrusion of lower-quality work into the marketplace. While this position has some validity, it seeks to diminish the many fine works of indie authors everywhere. It cannot be denied that readers know what they like, and they no longer have to rely on someone else to tell them what it is. They can make the decision for themselves.

Selling a book for 99 cents makes fiscal and promotional sense for many authors. A 99 cent book is something everyone can afford, and it’s an inexpensive way for readers to sample lesser known authors to find out whether they like their works.
Here is a list of 99 cent e-books on Kindle that are worth checking out. If you like the books, be sure to leave feedback for the author. Feedback is what makes the indie system work. Unpopular works will fade into the background while quality indie books will achieve the notoriety they deserve.
