Six Uplifting and Inspirational Bible Verses

Dealing with death is difficult for everyone, even those who have a relationship with Jesus Christ. God has blessed us with words of hope and a comfort for those who are dealing with the death of a loved one.

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If i1t were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.

John 14:1-4

Even in the death of a loved one or discovering that death may be close for our own lives, God is there and He will never leave us alone to fend for ourselves

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

As we are all human and unreliable, this verse provides inspiration for the times in life when our wisdom falls short, health fails, and finances shrink, God is always there to carry us.

“Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”

Isaiah 40:30-31
There are times in life when we do not understand why things are going a certain way, but during those times, God provides us with the knowledge that He has an individual plan for each and every one of us.“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

The grace of God is shown through the comfort and peace that he shares with those who follow Him, especially in times of fear or grief. These verses share the reassurance and serenity that God wants us to know He has to give.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

So do not fear, for I am with you;
