On the Royal Pains summer finale, Hank treated and Art collector who was suffering from seizures, played by Wilmer Valderrama. Hank was also trying to help out Paige’s Mom who has been suffering from depression for quite some time now. Meanwhile Divya took on an extra sift at the hospital while having to take care of a Hank Med patient who was there having her tonsils out. And Jill was finding her replacement.
Hank went to see an old friend who works at the Hospital that fired him, to see if she could help Paige’s Mom. She suggested shock therapy. Paige’s Mom agreed to the procedure however her father was against it but seemed to come around at the end.
Divya was juggling two patients at once, at the end of the day she was asked to treat Hank’s patient, the art collector, Eric played by Wilmer Valderrama who was also having back pain and was also diabetic; he could not be given oral steroids. Divya gave him oral steroids, and as a result Hank found him passed out the next day at his house. The show ended with Hank calling 911. Hank still doesn’t know that Divya is working at the Hospital or that she was the one who gave Eric the steroids since the bottle had Dr. Van Dyke’s name on it.
The summer finale left us with a good cliffhanger, and many questions.
What will happen to Divya when Hank finds out about the secret she has been keeping and that she was the one who gave Eric the steroids?
In the summer finale Jill also found her replacement but will she really go? She seemed to be having second thoughts.
One thing they did not address in the episode is what happen to the Boris story line? Will we find out who poisoned him and why? And what ever happen to Dieter? Boris was left out of the episode and they haven’t gotten back to him since the poisoning.
Will have to wait until the winter to get the answer to these questions.
