Hard to believe that it is time to start thinking about preparing for winter already. It seems like it was just yesterday I was writing articles for spring and summer. Nevertheless, it is time to start preparing for winter and this includes skin preparation as well. Here you will learn not only helpful but effective ways to prep your skin for winter. No matter what type of skin you have winter weather is harsh and your skin deserves protection.

Winters are dry and you need something on your face that will counteract that dry wind. Oil may be the first thing that pops into your mind and you are right, but what type of oil should you use? Basically, anything that is light and fortified with vitamins is great for your body. Remember to purchase something that is also absorbed you do not want the oil to just rest on top of your skin. Tea tree oil is great people everywhere love it for winter time and it is not too expensive. Tree tea oil absorbs rapidly into the skin and it is also antibacterial, which is very important during the winter season.

If the skin on your face is more likely to be irritated during the winter, you should be using a face mask and moisturizers. Be sure to use a mild mask and moisturizer never strong. Nothing powerful just a mild soothing mask is enough to relieve the irritation. And if you are someone who loves home remedies perhaps you would be interested in putting maple syrup on your face, it is a great moisturizer.

If your hands are what give you problems during the winter then you should be glad to learn that there are many lotions and hand creams out there to sooth your hands. Another thing to remember during the winter is too ALWAYS wear gloves and to avoid harsh chemicals as well. Avoiding these two things during the winter and regularly applying hand lotion or cream at night will bring much relief to your hands. Remember the skin on our hands are thin you do not want to expose anything too harsh to them including hair products.

Obviously it is specially designed to repair your lips during winter or harsh weather. It will destroy all the rough skin on your lips while soothing and revealing the healthy skin underneath.

You must take care of your whole body during winter and you should continue to wear sun screen, it may not be warm out but the sun is still shining, and it also prevents signs of aging. You must always dress appropriately and be sure to exfoliate, moisturizer, and use masks where needed. Exfoliating the body is needed because it speeds up the cell process allowing fresh cells to produce sealing in moisture. It also keeps the skin plump and bouncy while helping the production of collagen. Applying a mask will calm inflammation and work against dehydration that is caused by overexposure to the winter elements. Try to use masks that are made with eucalyptus to put nutrition into your skin while fighting inflammation.
