My 2011-2012 NCAA College Football Rankings After Week One

Week one of the college football season is in the books. LSU earned the number one ranking by beating Oregon 40-27. Boise State handled Georgia to move up to the fifth spot. South Carolina rallied from a 17 point deficit to beat East Carolina. USC nipped Minnesota 19-17. South Florida surprised Notre Dame 23-20. Baylor shocked TCU 50-48. Maryland defeated Miami 32-24 in a game that went back and forth. Oregon, TCU, Georgia, and Miami were teams that fell out of my rankings this week. #21 South Florida, #23 Baylor, #24 Maryland and #25 Penn State all make their debut this week in my rankings.

Several teams have an off week or play a lesser opponent this week. There are some big games as well. #7 South Carolina kicks off their SEC Schedule visiting Georgia on Saturday. #8 Alabama visits #25 Penn State on Saturday. #17 Mississippi State meets #20 Auburn in an SEC West clash. #18 Missouri visits #21 Arizona State on Friday.

1) LSU (1-0) The Tigers beat Oregon 40-27. .They should have an easier game Saturday against Northwestern State.

2) Oklahoma (1-0) beat Tulsa easily 47-14. The Sooners have a week off before Florida State. 3) Stanford (1-0) crushed San Jose State 57-3. The Cardinal visits Duke on Saturday. 4) FSU (1-0) defeated Louisiana Monroe 34-0. The Seminoles host Charleston Southern next. 5) Boise State (1-0) defeated Georgia 35-21. The Broncos enjoy an off week. 6) Texas A&M (1-0) rolled past SMU 46-14. The Aggies have a week off. 7) South Carolina (1-0) spotted East Carolina a 17 point lead before the Gamecocks rallied to a 56-37 win. The Gamecocks play Georgia on Saturday. 8) Alabama (1-0) crushed Kent State 48-7. The Crimson Tide visit Penn State on Saturday. 9) Nebraska (1-0) won 40-7 over Chattanooga. The Huskers host Fresno State on Saturday. 10) Oklahoma State (1-0) outscored Louisiana Lafayette 61-34. The Cowboys host Arizona on Thursday. 11) Virginia Tech (1-0) crushed Appalachian State 66-13. The Hokies visit east Carolina on Saturday. 12) Wisconsin (1-0) blasted UNLV 51-17. The Badgers host Oregon State on Saturday. 13) Arkansas (1-0) walloped Missouri State 51-7. The Razorbacks visit New Mexico on Saturday. 14) Ohio State (1-0) shut out Akron 42-0. The Buckeyes host Toledo on Saturday. 15) Michigan State (1-0) beat Youngstown State 28-6. The Spartans host Florida Atlantic on Saturday. 16) West Virginia (1-0) defeated Marshall 34-13. The Mountaineers host Norfolk State on Saturday. 17) Mississippi Sate (1-0) defeated Memphis 59-14. The Bulldogs visit Auburn on Saturday. 18) Missouri (1-0) defeated Miami (Ohio) 17-6. The Tigers visit Arizona State on Friday. 19) USC (1-0) defeated Minnesota 19-17. The Trojans host Utah on Saturday. 20) Auburn (1-0) held off Utah State 42-38. The Tigers host Mississippi State on Saturday. 21) South Florida (1-0) defeated Notre Dame 23-20. The Bulls host Ball State on Saturday. 22) Arizona State (1-0) defeated UC-Davis 48-14. The Sun Devils host Missouri on Friday. 23) Baylor (1-0) defeated TCU 50-48. The Bears have the week off. 24) Maryland (1-0) defeated Miami 32-24. The Terrapins enjoy a week off. 25) Penn State (1-0) defeated Indiana State 41-7. The Nittany Lions host Alabama on Saturday.
