Katy Perry Goes Blonde:A Look at Her Most Daring Hair Colors in 2011

Katy Perry has made yet another dramatic change in her life. No, she hasn’t ditched Russell Brand! Instead, she has dyed her dark locks blonde! Perry has rocked many different hair colors throughout her career, and many of them happened this year. Here is a look at Katy’s quirkiest hair colors to date!

Girly pink

Back in October, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer stepped out in London with pink hair, almost the color of cotton candy. Although most of it was covered with a cute hat, it was impossible not to see the girly pinkness that swung around her shoulders. Not many stars could pull of such a crazy color, but for Perry, it was just another day in the life of a pop princess!

Ginger curls

This summer, the California Gurl rocked ginger hair for three weeks. It looked more brown than ginger, but it was definitely a change from her trademark black locks! The color looked really stylish on her, but it made her look vastly more mature than her years, so it was definitely a good thing when she changed it back.

Lovely lavender

In August, Mrs. Brand decided that she wanted to dye her hair an “uncommon” color, so she settled for lavender. Her New York hair colorist said that she wanted to look edgy, yet glamorous, and she definitely achieved her goal. The pastel shade wasn’t too wild, but certainly quirky enough to make a fashion statement.

Blonde/ginger

Perry has been blonde, and she has been ginger. For the premiere of “The Smurfs” in New York, she decided that one color just wasn’t enough, so she combined the two! The roots, and most of the rest of her hair was a rich blonde, and the ends were a vibrant shade of ginger. This was one of the best hair color combinations she has ever had, and hopefully she will return to it again in the future!
