Jennifer Lopez was the queen of comebacks this year. The Puerto Rican princess ditched her lame old husband of almost seven years Marc Anthony and she returned to her career as an international singing and dancing sensation. She released her hit album “Love?” that spawned several hits including “On the Floor,” “Papi,” and others. Let’s take a look at the best moments of JLo’s year in 2011.
Summer Time Fling
Did they or didn’t they? After JLO broke it off with Marc over the summer she was spotted with sexy blue-eyed Bradley Cooper of “The Hangover” fame and was rumored to be dating him. The couple’s romance died down quickly and turned out to be nothing more than just an Indian summer romance. We think the two looked good together but Jenny probably had too much baggage for the comedic actor.
Giving an Emotion Fueled Performance
If you saw Jennifer perform at the 2011 American Music Awards you probably know she isn’t a stranger to hysterics if it means giving a good performance for her fans. This past fall JLo got emotional and teary eyed during a performance when a montage of male and female dance pairs danced behind her.
“You want to talk about love? I can talk about love. Oh, the stories!” she said in a speech before singing her classic hit “If You Had My Love.”
The dancers paid homage to her past romances : her with a Diddy-esque person, her and a Ben Affleck type and lastly her and a Marc Anthony lookalike.
When the singer teared up during the performance she received a standing ovation. This is one celeb who isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve and her fans love her for it.
Showing Off Her Rocking Body
If you’ve seen JLo shake it on the dance floor or in her videos you know it would be nearly impossible to dance that well without being in shape. At 42 the singer has no problem showing off her killer toned body. Only a few weeks ago she smiled for the cameras as she flaunted her stomach in a cropped red top while visiting Uruguay. According to the diva she dropped 50 lbs after giving birth to her twins.
“You get to the point where you’re like, Where am I? What happened to me? I got to get myself together for my kids, you know? They need to know what I really look like,” she told Us Weekly last year.
Finding Love…or Something Like It
After Jennifer’s slew of Hollywood romances we don’t really trust her taste in men but it appears the star has found love…for now. The singer has been dating 24-year-old backup dancer Casper Smart. The two have been spending a lot of time together, jet setting around the world and even celebrating the holidays together. Casper joined JLo when she got the family together for Thanksgiving.
“Casper was great with the kids,” an eyewitness tells Us of the dancer, who spent six nights with Lopez, the twins and other family members, including the singer’s mom, Lupe.
