Edmunds.Com Adds Used Car Tool

Edmunds.com recently announced that it has added a used car tool to its premier website. The tool allows car buyers to shop for and compare used vehicles more easily in their local areas and for dealers to list their vehicles to a motivated group of potential customers.

According to Edmunds.com Sr. Vice President Donna Sechrist, ”Dealers participating in the early pilot program gave us tremendous feedback about its success, so we’re excited to open up this opportunity to all dealers across the country who are ready to support the needs of Edmunds’ in-market consumers. Matching up used-car shoppers with local dealers is another example of how Edmunds.com is continuing to expand the ways that buyers and car dealers can connect easily and efficiently.”

The new tool offers users the opportunity to browse vehicles in their market. The user selects make and model, mileage, model year and price. The user can then narrow vehicles by identifying special features, colors and trim levels. Local results are then displayed with the listing dealer’s email and phone number. So, for instance, a Virginia auto loan borrower could use this tool to find the exact vehicle they want on a lot in their area and bring this information to their lender, thereby expediting the loan approval process.

This may not be a brand new concept, but, since it is presented by Edmunds.com, it is going to be the premium tool to use.
