My heart flutters;
Dances inside my chest.
I can see your smile
Your eyes
I can see you!
My lips are incapable of fighting the inevitable smirk
My eyes become captivated
and they widen
to allow as much of this dream in
as possible.
My breaths become shallow
from excitement.
I glance hoping to see you before me
NOTHING.
Only the clock ticking
Among this disturbing silence.
Reality soon takes over
And I am left alone
