Courageous Faith

We believers are living in a day and hour when God is pouring His Spirit out upon all flesh. The awareness of this reality will increase as more Christians awake to what God is doing. The awareness of this reality will increase as more non-believers become believers; not because of evangelism by the church, but because of the undeniable power and sovereignty of God.

What has been debated more than any other subject is the organized church and it’s man-made doctrines. The true doctrine of the word of God has always been available and without hypocrisy. Finally, we are seeing the veil lifted from our understanding and we are stepping into agreement with God unlike any time in our history.

In the book of John we read in chapter 3 and verse 12, ‘If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?’ What I find particularly interesting is found in the beginning of chapter 3 of John. Jesus make to statements showing qualifiers. In verse 3 Jesus says unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. In verse 5 Jesus says unless a man is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

This makes me think of Moses traveling through the wilderness only to see, but not enter the Promise Land. If the story of Moses is only an allegory to us, being an earthly event, then how are we going to believe in the heavenly reality of both seeing and entering the kingdom of God? Moses failed to enter the Promise Land because he acted on his own intellect rather than faith in the word of God.

The term ‘born again’ has become a punch line among a great many people. We hear news casters make statements such as, ‘so-called born again’, or ‘self-proclaimed born again’. There is a real kingdom of God and if we want to see it we must be born again. If we want to enter the kingdom of God, we must be born of water and of Spirit.

I believe being born of water speaks of natural birth, not water baptism. I believe this because Nicodemus questions Jesus about his mother’s womb. Being born of the Spirit speaks of becoming a child of God through a spiritual birth as described in Romans 10:9-10, and John 3.

Once we are born again we can begin to ‘see’ the truth of God. We can begin to believe the realities of God. In Joel 2, where God speaks of pouring His Spirit out upon all flesh, the result is an increase in the prophetic vision and flow. However, not all flesh will respond to that outpouring. Just as we all have the word of God available now, but not all have heard it and believe, not all people will respond to the outpouring of the Spirit upon all flesh in a positive way.

It comes down to how brave we are and how much of a relationship we want with God. Let’s stop equating God with what the organized church has done through the decades. The organized church no more represents the fullness of God any more than the Sadducees and Pharisees represented what God was about to do in the days Jesus walked the earth.

God is moving in the universe. God is moving upon humanity. Are you aware? Are you awakened to God? Do you want to see and enter the kingdom of God? You must be born again. We can actually see the kingdom of God right now, every day once we meet the qualification of born again. One person looks as a baby and sees it through scientific eyes. They see the results of eggs and sperm, cell division and the process of embryo to fetus to human. Another looks through the eyes of a born-again believer and sees the hand of God at work and that the child has God-given potential.

If we believers are going to move on to the greater things of God into the supernatural realm, we are going to have to see spiritual things through the Spirit of God and cease to rely on the flesh or our own intelligence. Let’s stop listening to the unbelieving spin and enter into the kingdom of God with courageous faith.
