Oh my gosh, I've heard of this more than once. I've heard about it with regarding to cucumbers as well. I don't know why or how, but it works so keep going. And I'm glad I ran into you. I'm tired of plain old cukes. Pickles it is. I eat a lot of pickles too. I am not sure if they lower my blood sugar, but I know they don't increase it either . and their calorie amounts are quite reasonable as regular snacks.
the vinegar in pickles is said to help digest food and stabilize insulin/blood sugar levels. It's good for you to have a pickle or something with vinegar in it with each meal if you can. :) No it should not because juices are generally the concentrates of sugar, rather it will end up increasing sugar level. Pickles ,yes it may with vinegar.
The vinegar helps break down the digestion..but be careful of the sodium in them..too much salt will elevate your blood pressure and cause swelling in your feet. I have been eating dill pickles lately, like a lot of them, and haven't noticed any change, good or bad, in my blood-sugar levels. I guess I'll have to monitor more closely to see if that's true. It would be nice.
