Is anyone else totally worried about swine flu making its way to their state and infecting our children?
Q: I am so freaked about this new swine flu making its way around. I just read that a 23 month old Texan child just died today. I have a 25 month old child and one on the way! I am so so entirely scared. They wont be able to make a vaccine for several months and I am worried by then that it will of spread like wildfire and we wont be able to leave the house! What do you all think of this epidemic!?
A: Did your child survive last year’s MRSA outbreak? If so, then you probably have nothing to worry about. The swine flu is just like SARS, bird flu, and mad cow disease, etc. Just maintain good hygiene.
Could Rush possibly be responsible for the swine flu epidemic?
Q: PLEASE NOTE THIS IS SATIRE-Satire by R J Shulman New York — (PTSD News) — The World Health Organization has called it a “public health emergency of international concern.” The swine flu virus has already infected millions in the United States, sparking worldwide alarm. The Center for Disease Control in Atlanta announced on Tuesday that they have traced the origin of the flu to talk show host Rush Limbaugh. “This is extremely troubling,” said Sarah Tinsdale of the CDC, “as Limbaugh has contact with millions of Americans every day.”Doctors say the symptoms of swine flu are getting hot under the collar with fever, the sudden inability to think for yourself, lack of appetite for the truth and diarrhea of the mouth.“One minute I started sneezing,” said Roger Wombat of Hickory, North Carolina, “and the next minute I said I wanted President Obama to fail.” “It was the swine flu that made me do it,” said Joseph Wynsocki of Lima, Ohio. “The fever took over my brain and I started to dismantle a Habitat for Humanity house that was slated for a welfare mother, brick by brick.”Apparently, the swine flu epidemic was the cause of thousands of infected sufferers joining together in “tea parties” to protest Obama’s tax reduction, claiming it made them pay too much in taxes. “I temporarily lost the use of my brain,” said Wanda Flemming of New Rochelle, New York, who is recovering in a White Plains hospital.“I had the radio tuned to Rush and all of a sudden I started vomiting out hatred toward poor people,” said Charlie Joe Briggs of Everett, Washington. “And I’ve been puking out garbage ever since.” Doctors at Seattle General Hospital have listed Briggs in guarded condition.Researchers say the best way to avoid getting swine flu is whenever you hear the sound of Limbaugh or one of his “dittoheads” is to pull a mask over your ears. Scientists are concerned over the rapid spread of the flu. “If this disease keeps infecting people at this rate,” said Dr. Lester Philpot of the CDC, “America will change from a country of decent human beings to a nation of swine.” 28 April 2009Steve M-you should post this on your own dime (-10 points)

The Swine flu: I live in Texas, and have a pregnant girl, should I worry?
Q: Well as you guys may have heard, Texas is an infected state. I have a few reasons for worrying and questions:A. my girlfriend is pregant (6mths) and works at a school where alot of Mexican born kids go (its 98% mexican)and their parents go in and out of the country. Should she be worried and how will (hopefully she wont be) being infected affect the baby?B. I work at the same school AND have a part time job at a gym where many people that travel to and from Mexico go, should i be concernedC. Over the course of a mth Ive gotten real sick 2ce. Cold symptoms, at one point i was very ill for a day. And lately Ive had a stuffy nose, and woken up with a sore throat. Its been close to two wks and I havent gotten rid of the runny/stuffy nose or the hacking cough I have at night when i go to bed (i cough during the day but its not as bad). Would it be silly of me to get checked out for a possible swine case?thanks for all the help
