What do you think about this cover of The Who’s “The Real Me” (and yet another story)?
Q: Some may say blasphemy but I love itW.A.S.P.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqT2Y2l6aLAI just finished load out for W.A.S.P. at the Celebrity Theater in Anaheim. Across the small street was the bands tour bus. Me and Vona (aka Rock and Roll Mom because she was 67 and loved heavy metal. she was a total sweetheart) decided to venture across the street and see who was there. I met Blackie and Chris earlier….both pricks. Anyway outside the bus was Johnnie Rod and Frankie Banali (who had just joined WASP while they were touring Japan). Really cool guys. Johnnie was telling us that while they were on stage he and Chris were deciding where to go eat. Frankie was joking around with Vona, playfully flirting with her, telling her he was gonna take her on tour with him, etc. Vona was blushing like a 16 yr old school girl. Frankie definately made Vona’s night. It wasnt until 10 yrs later, if not more, when I was watching the “Behind The Music” of Quiet Riot that it was about that time Frankie’s mother passed away. I guess he was giving Vona the attention because he missed his mom.Hey Ronnie. Apparently my memory isnt as bad as I thought it was lol.(Sweet)
A: That was f*cking sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I never knew they did a Who cover! I remember you telling me this story and I think that is a very nice story and those two sound like they were decent guys. It was common knowledge that Blackie and Chris were jerks, and I once saw footage of Chris Holmes giving an interview totally wasted.
Sorry to inform you the Pillsbury Doughboy has passed away.?
Q: Please join us in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes. If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the occasion and take time to pass it on and share that smile with someone else who may be having a crumby day and kneads it.
A: So sorry to hear it, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
