What are the symptoms of H1N1 (swine flu)? I think i may have it!?
Q: I have been sick since thursday with a fever, cold, body aches, sore throat, runny nose, hot eyes and am lethargic. I have little appetite, but have been forcing myself to eat a little bit and drink lots of fluids. i have been in bed since Thursday night (its now saturday night) and i have not improved. My cough got a lot worse today, and i have shortness of breath too. There are rumours that several students in my school have the virus and are in the hospital. I havent seen a doctor yet, and I am allergic to sulfa drugs so my mom is hesitant to get me a prescription. Should i just sleep it off, or is this something I should be taking more seriously?

Do I have the H1N1 virus?
Q: I can’t afford to go get swabed for the flu, so I’m asking here. Here are my symptoms:low-grade feverchills and body achessore throatrunny nosevomitingcoughchest tightness/shortness of breathI have had these symptoms for over a week. They got better, and then they got worse again. Also, I am in the target age range for H1N1 – 24.
A: “the sypmtoms for H1N1 and the regular flu are IDENTICAL.”True.”is swine flu even a real threat?”Yes”an FDA official has admitted that the “Swine” flu virus has NEVER been found in any animal, but was created in a lab. the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control(CDC) has publicly admitted to “creating” a pandemic in order to push their vaccines(which have not undergone ANY clinical tests or trials to ensure safety)”Nonsense. Absolute rubbish. Provide a reliable citation if your claims are true.”Which is why the pharmacuetical co. have been given FULL IMMuNITY by the government.”They’ve been given immunity because the risk to public health by H1N1 is the greater threat.”taking the vaccine does NOT PREVENT it, only shortens sick time by 24 hrs max!!”Incorrect. Antivirals, when taken between 24-48 hours of the onset of symptoms, can shorten the duration of the illness by 24 hours. It’s true that a vaccine cannot prevent infection, but it does typically prevent any significant symptoms, because the immune system will immediately recognize and target the virus. That’s how ALL vaccines work. In rare cases, people with compromised immune systems (people with AIDS, or people who are already sick with another infection when they get H1N1) will develop symptoms, but they are still likely to be much more mild than if the person had not been vaccinated.”The most common side affect is Guillain-Barré Syndrome = permanent paralisys and can be fatal.”More nonsense. Seriously, where do you get this stuff? GBS is the most RARE side effect, not the most common. The incidence has been estimated at 1 in 100,000 at the highest; more likely 1 in 1,000,000, but in any event, 80% of those who get it recover completely. If you’re in a high risk group for flu complications, your chances of dying from the flu are *far* higher than the odds of both acquiring and dying from GBS. Nothing in life is risk-free. Make your choices accordingly.”So. Take lots a vitamin C and D, and L-Lysine – they are huge immune boosters. You’ll be fine”No, don’t take “lots” of anything, especially Vitamin C. A vitamin deficiency will compromise immune function, but few people in the US have vitamin deficiencies. It’s just not an issue. Boosting vitamin intake has not been conclusively demonstrated to provide any benefit. Moreover, too much Vitamin C will cause diarrhea by itself, and exacerbate diarrhea with the flu, so take it in moderation.”Source(s):Doctor’s assistant”Do everyone a favor and find a new job, or get educated. To answer the actual question, if you have the flu right now, it’s overwhelmingly likely that you have H1N1. The seasonal flu is not going around right now, and H1N1 is spiking.
Do I have H1N1 (Swine Flu)?
Q: I have had cold-like symptoms for the past two weeks (headache, chest congestion, runny nose, etc.) but recently woke up with an excruciatingly painful migraine to the point where I couldn’t stand up. I also had more severe chest congestion, runny nose, a sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, and a high fever accompanied with hallucinating. I have slept for the past 20 hours and haven’t eaten for 2 days. My physician thinks I have H1N1 (Swine Flu) but I have not been tested yet. Is he right?
A: There’s no way for anyone to know without a test.
