What type of workout would aid in thinning out my legs (especially my thighs)?
Q: I ran track and cross country in high school, and I continue to workout everyday at the gym, but as I am only 5’3 and have a small frame with shorter legs my legs (especially my thighs) are really large (not really fat just really really toned)….I have tried pilates and stopped adding resistance to my workouts….can anyone reccommend a good workout routine to thin out my legs to make them look a bit longer and leaner.In shorts I look good because I;m toned, but as fall is coming jeans are really unflattering on me…any advice would help thanks
A: You could do nothing a allow the muscles to atrophy (get smaller). Other than that, keep doing fast quick exercises with little resistance. Nobody is completely happy with their appearance. Baseline, we have what we have. Maybe don’t worry so much how you look in jeans? Probably, if you look good in shorts, you look good in jeans. And if you just can’t live with it, don’t wear jeans…wear something else more flattering. If you’re athletic, I’m sure that there are lots of people who think you look great!
