A: squats, lunges, simply walking at a faster rate than a stroll (not necessarilly a power walk either), there are other strength conditioning exercises and even simpler exercise you can do…lay down, roll up a towel and place it under one knee, tighen and squeeze down (average count 15), switch to the other leg and do the same thing…next exercise simply lift up about 6 inches keeping toes pointed upward, hold, and set back down (again 15 on all and switch..do not rush) these are ultimate exercises for the knees as well..alot of people don’t think about the stress you knees go through and forget to strenghen the muscles there and end up with major knee problems when they’ve been running or or working out..also, up, hold..out..back,,and down..these will also help the abs and the lower back as well as the calves and theighs…a really easy one is using rubbery material or a work out stretch material, wrap it around a post and around your ankle ( one ankle at a time of course, LOL) and start out either facing the pole or away and pull in the opposite direction, next turn and again the opposite direction, 3rdly pull out in front of you towards the outside leg for one side then turn and do the opposite….as it gets easier find a stronger resistence cord…add yoga pilates which is awesome and becomes easy..the dvds are cheap or they come with equip..good luck

A: Dumbell Squats hold a dumbell in each hand and squat like you trying to sit in a chair then raise up. Use a moderately heavy (for you) weight but not to heavy. Do three sets of 12 three times a week. You’ll have buns of steel or atleast you’ll be able to bounce a quarter off of them.
