What is the best way to strengthen your lower abs?
Q: What excercise can I do (w/o a machine) to strengthen my lower abs?
A: There are two ways to do this1. Off a bench or sturdy chair – sit at the edge – you will have to experiment to find the most comfortable position which still gives you a good range of motion. Keep your upper body at a 45 degree angle…support yourself with your hands at the edge of the chair or bench. Lower your legs, with your knees bent, as far down as they will go. Then bring them up slowly towards your upper body without swinging or jerking. Once you can do 12 strict reps – try and keep your legs straight while raising and lowering them.2. Off the floor. This is less effective – lie on the floor, palms down, then raise your legs up , keep your hips down and legs comfortably bent until you build up some flexibility and lower ab strength.Do these exercises as often as you can without tiring yourself. They only take a few seconds, try and shoot for 2 – 3 times a day.

Q: Hey. What’s is the best way to strengthen your abs? I’ve heard many thing like just simple sit-ups, which did work for me for a little bit, but made my lower back hurt. Plus, didnt see any great results from it. There’s is the other one that I have yet to look into yet from a friend which is supposed to work wonders but wanted to see what are all the ways of doing it. Problem I see mostly is most people just want to make there body fit for looks. I admit I do want to look better but what I really want is strength not looks. Don’t really care how my body looks as long as it’s strong. I want to be a fighter later on after I finish college but as for now, I want to workout and get healthy. Anyone have any ideas?
A: Whenever you think about it just tighten your abs. It really helps. Also, get one of those giant balls and sometimes use it when you’re sitting at your computer. It helps balance and you work your abs without even knowing it.For me, my favorite actual workouts for abs are crunches but I go up little by little in 3 steps 1. Hads behind my head just enough to get off2. put my arms out in front of me and lift higher3. Put arms up in the air over my head and lift even higher4. RepeatPlank position is good tooAnd to strengthen my sides, crunches but roll your knees to the side.If you really wanna work on strength I reccomend the plank position and the ball.
