what dog likes swimming the best?
Q: i want a dog that will just jump in the pool and join the fun. a dog that will jump in after a ball to fetch it. a dog that will stay in the pool when we are in. even a dog that jumps in when were not in the pool (not very important)! what dog fits this the best?
A: Many dogs fit that bill – Labs are inherently water dogs and will go swimming with or without you. We have a Vizsla and she is the most active dog in the pool I’ve ever seen – she jumps in, fetches, races us, swims on her own, uses the pool to cool down. Much of the dog’s comfort in the pool is because they learned young – I don’t think you really need to pick a specific breed, but rather train your dog from an early age to enjoy the pool with you.
Swimming ?
Q: I go swimming 4 times a week but I have heard that it can be very bad for your hair, is this true?
A: Yeah, it can be. Just make sure you wash it after you get out and use conditioner. You might also want to try a shampoo that gets the chlorine out such as Ultra Swim or a purifying shampoo. I’ve been doing that and the last time I got my hair cut the lady said she couldn’t even tell I was a swimmer. That’s amazing because they usually complain about my hair being damaged.
