- When getting a massage is this normal?
- Q: I am not trying to be perverted in any way. My question is for professional massage therapists. I have recently started getting massages for sore muscles so I am kinda new to the experience. I have been getting aroused while getting a massage. I have found this to be really embarrassing. Is it normal to have this happen? What is the therapists thoughts on this? I can't ask the one I see that would make it worse. Please shed some light on this problem.I could really use some input. And no THIS IS NO JOKE. Thanks in advance.
- A: In western cultures somehow we've this idea that our sexuality is limited to just the genitalia - this is completely false and every massage therapist knows this. It is very common for both men and women to become aroused while getting a non-sexual massage. We see it and understand completely. As long as you understand that our is a professional involvement and is not sexual then we are not embarrassed that your body responds to touch in a completely normal way and you should not be embarrassed either - however, in no case can a therapist of either sex engage in any sexual activity, even if they desired to, because it would violate the law in nearly every locality and be considered a form of prostitution as well as endanger their massage license.
- What is it with people complaining about sore muscles?
- Q: Ok so I never understood why people complained about sore muscles..I enjoy it, I love getting sore muscles and then stretching them because it just feels good, like when you stretch in the morning but 100x better.Unless their sore muscles hurt then I don't see a problem with them.. Mine never hurt they just feel achy, but then again I never did any serious strenous exercise and it just feels good to stretch and massage them, my brother feels the same and so have a few other people..And can someone give me a detailed explanation of what happens that makes sore muscles and why it feels soo good when you stretch them? I heard lactic acid and microscopic tears in the muscle cause it but then I heard lactic acid causes the burning sensation during exercise, not the soreness the next day so idk.
- A: so what's your question exactly? =/ people compliant about all kinds of stupid things...that's just how they areand yes the tear/growth in muscle cause the soreness

- A: You're probably getting aroused because it's relaxing and massages feel great. If the massage therapist is pretty hot, that would explain it even further. :)No big deal.
