Is it possible to flatten your belly without diet but only doing workouts regularly?
Q: Ok here’s my scenario , I am 19 years old and my belly is around 34 . My goal is two loose two inches of my belly or even better just have a 4 packs (not even a 6 pack) . To be honest I cannot follow those “super” diets recommended by those Men’s magazine but what I can guarantee is that i can avoid alcohol in parties . Also i exercise almost 6 times a day (3 times 45 min. of cardio w/ push-ups and crunches and 2 times 20 min cardio w/ weight training which includes a whole body split workout) . My goal is to have a almost modeled type bod. Do you think i am doing the right things and is it possible for me to achieve my goals tnxxxxx .
A: diet is 90% of fitness…u have to be able to stay strict to get the body you want…its about sacrifice and will power you can do all the exercise you want but if you keep adding empty calories and processed foods into your diet your body cannot respond properly, those ‘super diets’ are tweaked specifically so your body can respond at its best to reach your goals…ur gonna get bummed out eventually putting in all this time and effort into training and not seeing results and hitting plateaus…belly fat especially is only responsive to proper diet, ur not going to cut through those final layers, and ur muscle will be hidden without proper nutrition unless you have a super metabolism in which case you would already have that 4 pack anyway so no, diet is MOST important in any fitness regime…my question is…why would you want to commit yourself to strict training and not be feeding ur body properly, its like two different mentalities all together…to put in all that effort without eating properly…just remember ‘super diets’ dont last forever, you should have a proper healthy diet year round but to cut up, you need to be strict, mind over matter…plus in any healthy diet plan, u have ‘cheat’ days, where you can treat yourself to something, you get used to it trust me…plus you will tire out, if your body is not getting the proper fuel it needs from diet, you will not be able to keep up with this training routine…you will get fatigued, injuries, depression, burnout and have MAJOR setbacks in your goals, even for weeks and months at a time.you have this goal, dont let food control you, YOU control FOOD so saying you cant do it, cant is not an option when u have a focused goal, dont underestimate yourself, push for it, dont cheat yourself out of the best you can do good luckps. weight training twice a day is too much, your body will get fatigued and your muscle wont grow…your muscles grow in the resting periods NOT the training periods, they grow when they are repairing themselves…training tears them up, resting rebuilds them, growing them…if your doing a fully body split twice a day six days in a row, you wont see any muscle growth and your gonna be pissed!! every single body part should have at least one day rest in between, if you want to build muscle, do cardio separately if you’re looking to have a male fitness model type figure, you need to do it in two stages, bulking and cutting…bulking phase you concentrate on msucle growth which consists of training and high calorie intake for gains, do NOT confuse high calories with eating junk, you need proper food and lots of it to feed your body to grow…once you reach your muscle mass you would like, then you enter the cutting phase, this is the hardest phase, this is the ‘super diets’, this is what strips your body fat percentage leaning you out and defining your muscles then you hit the maitenance phase, proper diet and proper trainingbulking phase is muscle training only with very minimum cardio if any, you cannot bulk and cut at the same time, they are two very different processes…every muscle group should have at least one day’s rest, only weight training ONCE a day, any more than that you will not see results, your muscles will not have any time to rest, this will cause injury and muscle breakdown…train one bodypart a day or split upper and lower days…heavy weights, lower reps, 3-5 sets, if you can do more than 6-8 reps in a set, then your weight is too low, up itcutting phase you concentrate on maximum cardio with very basic weight training…cardio twice a day six days a week for maximum result, splitting HIIT with regular cardio, cahnging it up constantly so your body doesnt become used to routineabs you can train every day, every other day, it really doesnt matter, its a muscle group you use intensely every single day anyway, its what keeps your body upright and supports your back so you cannot overtrain abdominals good luck!!
can you keep a nice body without dieting?
Q: i was wondering if its possible to keep a nice body not bodybuilder type but like a six pack and ok arms without dieting? i like eating real food not tuna and wheat bread with a protein shake 6 times a dayi dont eat greasy food all the time just once in a while and yes i am planning on working out just not to the extreme maybe like sit ups and push ups at home maybe run when it gets a little warm
A: absolutely, but the rule of thumb is to try to work out everything you put in your body, if your eating so much without an equivalent exchange of activity it will store in your body as fat, especially the carbohydrates. if you don’t want to be physically active you should cut back on your muscleman diet.

A: So in other words you want to be lean, not bulky, well keep the weights light if your lifting, and do plenty of cardio.Eat a well balance diet, and I think for men to see abs you need at least 12% body fat,but to really!!! see them i’d say you need 7-10% And remember your diet is just as important as working out,if not more, and you dont have to worry about getting bulky if you do cardio, cardio burns some muscle, thats why you rarely see a “BULKY”man on the treadmill
