It has actually been shown to IMPROVE brain functioning. You’ll see some result with creatine. The only thing you may notice is some “puffiness” because creatine will cause you to retain water a bit in your muscles…but this isn’t a real problem, and it would go away if you quit taking creatine. So basically, there is no harm in trying it.But to answer the question, creatine and muscle milk are different supplements, and you should use both. If you have to choose (for whatever reason, like money) choose the muscle milk–creatine supplementation is optional, but protein supplementation is essentially mandatory if you are looking to get bigger. But if it’s a financial reason, there are many protein supplements that are a lot cheaper than muscle milk. Muscle Milk is an expensive brand of a cheap product…it also has too many calories for my taste. I prefer EAS products personally. But I will admit, muscle milk is the best tasting supplement I’ve ever tried. ^.^And no, creatine is not a steroid, not illegal nor banned from any sport or the olympics.When shopping for creatine, try to find something that is pure creatine.
