Words of Inspiration and Wisdom

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are new.

The very minute that we accept Jesus into our lives, “behold all things are new”. That doesn’t mean that some people get it and are made new, and it doesn’t mean that those who don’t get it are not made new. It means that everyone who loves Christ, believes on His name, and accepts Him as their savior will be made into a new creature that very same minute.

What a comforting thought it is to know that everything in our past has been erased from Gods mind and we can now be like newborn babies to our Father in Heaven.

Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.

When we do everything in the name of the Lord we can be assured that all will go well, even if things don’t go the way that we think they should. Gods plan is bigger than anything we can imagine and His will is always right.

Imagine a Mother making a cake and she steps out of the room to answer the phone. The call is a very important one that she must take now. The Mother can see into the kitchen and watches helplessly as her child comes in and begins adding ingredients that don’t belong in the cake at all, onion powder, garlic, catsup, and a tablespoon of mustard.

Mom watches as the cake goes into the oven frantic, but unable to get the child’s attention. When the cake came out of the oven it was nothing like the cake that the Mother had planed. That’s the way it is with us, when we add ingredients that don’t belong in Gods plan for our lives.

2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Someone once told me that I needed some Good Orderly Direction in my life. God’s word is always there to guide and direct us in any way that we need. He gave us His word (Jesus), so that we don’t have to wonder through this life alone, not knowing where to turn, or what to do.

Psalms 103:12
As far as the East is from the West, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.

Satan would love for us to believe that we have been so bad that God couldn’t or wouldn’t forgive us for the wrongs that we have done, but that is far from the truth. The Bible says that God can and will forgive us if we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. Jesus paid the price for us to be able to be forgiven when he hung on the cross.
