Why the User Experience on the iPhone Makes it the Best Overall Smartphone

With all of the different smartphones on the market that run a multitude of different operating systems that all mainly do the same thing, which smartphone actually does it the best? The answer is the iPhone 4.

Owning a catering company and being a smartphone aficionado, I tried my share of Android, iOS, Blackberry, and Palm devices and I would have to say the one smartphone that wins the prize is the iPhone.

The iPhone is one of the most popular smartphones available on Verizon and AT&T and there is a reason for it. You are not just buying a phone. You are entering into a community of other smartphone users who understand that smartphones don’t have to be complicated. They can be powerful, simple, and offer a great user experience.

What is important to note when you make your smartphone purchase is that the device is just one aspect of the smartphone experience. The iPhone offers me the most expansive mobile app store, the best battery life on a smartphone, and the perfect device to manage all my other electronic devices.

A device is only as good as the content that is available for it. Lack of quality content available for smartphones can severely effect your user experience. I must point out that I have a Mac and multiple Apple TVs. This device works so seamlessly for me because both personally and professionally I have bought into the Apple experience (iPhone is an extension of the overall Apple user experience).

The iPhone 4’s battery life lasts all day even during heavy use and I don’t have to walk around with a charging cable as I did with most Android devices. I also noticed that most application updates are available on the iPhone before other smartphones and the quality of the popular applications far exceeds those same applications on other devices.

Most of my issues with the current iPhone will be fixed with the upcoming software update this fall. Notifications, over-the-air software updates and Wi-Fi synchronization, all my major gripes with the device, will be fixed with the update. The current iPhone lacks 4G speeds. Do I envy the 4G speeds of my friends’ smartphones? Yes. Do I enjoy my battery without the 4G battery-sucking antenna? More so. I’ll wait the extra minute for my song to download.
