Week 9 – Injury Updates – player injuries and playing status will be updated throughout the week

Week 9 — QB Rankings — RB Rankings — WR Rankings — TE Rankings — Defense Rankings — Waiver Wire Pickups — Picks & Predictions — Player Injury Updates

* Hakeem Nicks – NYG = @NE —– (hamstring) – Nicks injured his hamstring in Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins and he is scheduled for an MRI on Monday. If Nicks misses any time, the fantasy values of both Mario Manningham and Victor Cruz go up significantly heading into the Week 9 matchup against the bad New England Patriots secondary. Both Manningham and Cruz could be considered WR2 starting options if Nicks is forced to miss the game this week.

* Ahmad Bradshaw – NYG = @NE —– (foot) – Bradshaw injured his left foot in Sunday’s game and immediately went for X-rays. Luckily though the X-rays came back negative, and Bradshaw was able to return to the field in the fourth quarter for the Giants. However this injury is being classified as a re-aggravation of his pre-existing injury from earlier in the season, so the likelyhood that this foot injury continues to linger into Week 9 is very likely. Good thing Brandon Jacobs is finally getting healthy again, because he could see a significant amount of touches in this weeks game.

* Kevin Kolb – Ari = StL —– (turf toe) – Kolb has not been very good this season, but a matchup against a weak Rams secondary this week could have him racking up his best stat game of the season in Week 9. Unfortunately Kolb may be dealing with a turf toe issue right now, so while he would be an excellent stream starter at QB in most fantasy football leagues this week, the toe injury should be a concern.

* Montario Hardesty – Cle = @Hou —– (calf) – Hardesty injured his calf early in the game on Sunday and is headed for an MRI on Monday. With both Peyton Hillis and Hardesty out of the game, Cleveland went with Chris Ogbonnaya as their lead RB against the stingy 49ers defense. If Hillis and Hardesty are forced to miss Week 9’s game, then it is very likely that Ogbonnaya will get the start for the Cleveland Browns this week.
