Web Uproar on Friendster

A lot of people (if not all) got totally frustrated and disappointed after Friendster deleted their users’ profile information including but not limited to messages, testimonials, and especially the photos. The company started deleting such contents on May 31, 2011 and claimed that they gave notifications via emails and posted notices on some major websites and blogs, lots of users still failed to save their memories.

People were frustrated due to the fact that they created their email for Friendster 9 years ago, after their first launch in 2002. Their users claim that they were too young to take their email accounts seriously thus resulting in forgotten passwords. Because of this they were not able to receive the notifications from Friendster and they did not pay much attention to blogs and news thinking that everything was a hoax, especially that it’s very common nowadays. Their major concern was that they trusted Friendster with their childhood memories, yet everything was gone as an exchange for the company’s new offerings of games.

Now, the only plead that these people have is that if Friendster did it for publicity’s sake, they( Friendster ) won, but it was never a cool joke. It will be much appreciated if their files will be brought back.
