The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik Breaks Down the Wild West in the NFL (week One)

Was week one of the NFL just a fluke or it is going to be a wild and wacky year in the NFL?

I was one person that said that the lockout was going to make this year much different and in my opinion that is exactly what happened in week one of the NFL.

It started with several games that should have been close games that turned into turmoil.

Who would have guessed the Texans would stomp on the Colts 34 to 7. The Colts recently getting news that Payton Manning was out for the year opted to bring in retired quarterback Collings. The Colts need a new solution and you Jaguar fans might embrace the fact the Colts could very well look at David Garrard who was recently released from the Jaguars. Would that be funny if Garrard wound up in a Colts uniform.

The second game of week one that was a shocker for many fans was the Ravens beating the Steelers 35 to 7. The Steelers broke a few records today but none of them I am sure the Steelers want to reflect in the record books. Steelers turned the ball over seven times and a big fight also broke out at the game.

The Steelers also need a back up quarterback how ironic would it be if Garrard ended up here as well.

The third game of the week that was a bit of a shocker was the Bills beating the Chiefs 41 -7. The Chiefs broke a 52 year record having the worst lose in a game in that time frame.

Most of the other games in the NFL on Sunday played out pretty much like a good bar brawl in an old saloon in the wild west with teams going back and forth on the field of battle. A lot of good things came out of this Sundays games with the Detroit Lions winning the first regular season game and of course my Bears wining! Bet you thought I would not mention the Bears right!

Even the Jaguars came away with a win even though they nearly lost the game in the fourth quarter.

I have to admit it was a fight right down to the very last play here in Jacksonville. The suspense could have not been more higher than it was when the Titans made a move down field with less that two minutes on the clock and no time outs. The Titans managed to move the ball past the fifty into the Jaguars territory than the best thing happened for the Jaguars with seconds left on the clock an interception.

It was truly the wild west this Sunday all around the NFL and the fans loved it.
