The Legend of the Lost Boys

So Jimmy and his little brother are traveling down the road to their grandmothers’ house when a flashy car whizzes by them, nearly hitting them. Jimmy says to his brother, “Why don’t we go and find that car?”

“But I don’t want to!” His brother is starting to whine and cry so now Jimmy just goes ahead and they go to their grandmothers. “Well who do you think was there as well? That flashy car that nearly hit them, and Jimmy said “We both got our way, so now what?”

“Maybe It’s PaPa, or Bobby.” His brother and father have been missing since the coal mine incident that killed twenty five and hurt many more.

“No, it’s not them. They are in heaven, that is why we stay with grandma and grandpa.” As they go into their house, they notice that a strange man is sitting and talking with grandma but who and why are still unanswered.

“Who is this grandma?” Jimmy asks but grandma tells him that this man is an uncle who had ran away years before but had come home after he heard about his little brother.

“Our uncle is dead. That is what PaPa always told us and we don’t believe that he is here now.”

“Yea he is fake grandma. I know he is.” The story goes on that all of the big brothers of the town leave and never come back, unless there is a death. So when they heard this man was their uncle come to help grandma the boys took off and were never heard from again. Some people say you can hear Jimmy and his little brother talking in the woods behind the big market on main street. I wonder too, if the two boys I have seen are they that became lost many years ago before the days of even the cars. So boys and girls, I tell you now that when you go around the town at night never go alone or they will grab you from behind and take you to their home far, far into the dark forest. “I’m telling you, it’s fake. Has to be a story that the adults tell little kids so they behave.

“No,no. Daryl this is so true.” Daryl and his little brother were never seen again after a late night baseball game. So is it true or is it a myth? I sure do not want to find out. Ever.
