Tears from a Window Ledge

I watched that hardest thing I could have ever bared witness to tonight
Irrevocable discust as I watch the scene that had been laid before me
beyond the windows ledge
a conversation with no words
not a moments breath, no ease of the equilibrium so utterly tormented by the tilt of one notion
a cheer for the worst…
not a moment to feel unsmothered and free of these heart shakles that seemed to come in sudden bursts
pulling me further down to the abyss
nothing of expectance
no sign of temperance
not a chance of these passing glanceses so vigerously shot
ever would our eyes have caught
endlessly a battle forever faught
this wasn’t all for not but has been brewing for a while
these tears shed, as a man cry
the love for a son lay as if the torment of a thousand burning suns
tonight had not been fun
as the tear of a man shed for the love of one…
his very own, insolent son.
