Visiting Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is a treat anytime of the year. It offers the perfect mix of tourist attractions (although many may say they go over the top with them) while also offering plenty of off the strip nature activities. One of the best way’s to indulge in Pigeon Forge’s great outdoors is to go camping there. Here are three of the most popular family friendly campgrounds in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Riverbend Campground

Just little bit off of the main strip of Pigeon Forge is Riverbend Campground. It is a secluded campground that is semi-wooded with the Little Pigeon River wrapping around most of the campground.

The campground offers a total of one hundred and twenty campsites, fifty-two of which are located riverside. The campground is open from mid-March to the end of November each year.

Visitors to Riverbend Campground have access to the river, which allows for fishing, swimming, and tubing on the river. The campground also offers laundry facilities, Cable TV service, and Internet service. On Sundays campground visitors can attend a morning worship service, while Saturday night offers a Gospel Singing.

Campsites at Riverbend Campground are $32 per night for two people, with a charge of $2 for each additional person over the age of twelve.

Pigeon Forge KOA

The Pigeon Forge KOA is another great family friendly campground that is located just off of the beaten path in Pigeon Forge but yet is still close to all of the attractions.

The campground offers one hundred and seventy-four campsites along with fifteen rental cabins. Visitors to the Pigeon Forge KOA can enjoy a swimming pool, playground, basketball court, game room, a Jacuzzi, fitness center, cable TV, and Wireless Internet service. There are also walking paths that lead from the campground to Pigeon Forge’s Patriot Park.

Twin Mountain RV Park

The Twin Mountain RV Park is located right in the heart of Pigeon Forge, and is on the Trolley Route.

Open year round the campground has a total of one hundred and seventeen campsites, thirty-five of which are located creekside. The campground offers fishing and tubing in the Little Pigeon River, as well as two swimming pools, a basketball court, tennis court, a game room, playground, wireless Internet service, Cable TV, and onsite laundry facilities.

Campsite rates at Twin Mountain RV Park range from $30 to $40 per night for RV sites, and from $25 to $29 per night for tent sites.
