News of their split has undoubtedly flooded every social media platform out there, and now celebs themselves are using the web to weigh in on the divorce of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries .
Calling it quits after just 72 days of their union, the E! reality starlet confirmed reports that she filed papers to legally end their marriage earlier today (October 31).
After telling Ryan Seacrest she “got caught up in all that was going on [in the wedding],” Kim released a statement in regards to the divorce, reading, “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”
Sparking a massive media blitz, news of the split spread like crazy over the Internet, leaving many to offer their feelings over the breakup – including words from several stars.
Of those expressing kind thoughts for the Kardashian was Kelly Osbourne , who tweeted, “@KimKardashian thinking of you stay strong don’t listen to the haters listen to your heart! xoxo.”
Adding to the encouragement was fellow divorcee and ex to Eddie Cibrian , Brandi Glanville, who wrote, “I’m sorry but I’m so Happy KimK is dropping that tool! She can do waaaaaay better!” Russell Simmons also chimed in with his own well wishes, saying, “Hoping the best for Kim.”
Others who dished their feelings on the whirlwind romance included Lisa Rinna , who took took to her Twitter, telling, “Well I think the big lesson is being learned by all. Keep your family lives private your wedding should never be on tv. Sad for them.”
As for those not too sad over the news was Samantha Ronson, who took the opportunity to poke fun at Miss Kardashian, questioning, “Wait, so it was actually a real wedding?”
Becoming the first of the Kardashian clan to publicly comment on the personal matter, sister KHLOE took to her Twitter account to slam those dissing the couple, writing, “Reading some these comments r so hurtful. Im grateful 4our fans who understand & r being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything,” later adding, “Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer! I love YOU”
