Inspirational Bible Verses that Will Change Your Life

The First Step to Changing Your Life

Changing your life isn’t easy, but the first step is. Find a role model, a savior, someone to lead you when times are difficult, the journey seemingly impossible.

Where do you find such a friend? Once you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, you’ll find him in your heart, your mind and in every breath you take.

Learn about him in these inspirational Bible verses:

Luke 24:6 “He is Risen”

No other words in the Bible are as inspirational as the word written by Luke, “He is risen.” When Jesus rose from the dead, he showed us that eternal life is possible, and winning the battle over the wages of sin is reachable. No matter how far we fall in life, Jesus paid the price for our sins with his own blood, his own breath. And now he leads the way for us to follow him to eternal salvation.

John 3:16 “God So Loved This World”

We all get down sometimes when the pressures of this world bring to heavy a burden on our back. We have no friends and we feel alone. But God is with us, every step of the way, writes John in this inspirational Bible verse. “”For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

When we fail, God loves us. When we wish we could hide, he is there to shelter us, guide us and lead us. Why? He so loved us and always will.

Colossians 4:2

In Paul’s letter to the Colossians, he talks about the power of prayer in another inspirational Bible verse that will change your life. Paul wrote, “Devote yourself to prayer.”

You see, God wants to help through the power of the Holy Spirit. But he has two requirements. First, accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Secondly, ask through prayer. You see prayer is our way of opening up the door to our souls to God and his Holy Spirit. It’s our way of saying, “I can’t figure this out. Please help.” A pastor of mine once said, “When you pray, a lot of coincidences happen. The funny thing is that when you stop praying, the coincidences stop as well.”

1 John 2:15 “Love Not This World”

A chaning moment in my life came when an Amish man quoted an inspirational Bible verse from the book of 1 John, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” So often we get down on ourselves when we fail to achieve what this world offers. We don’t land the best job, get the fastest car or live in the biggest house. Instead we should enjoy, appreciate and give thanks for what the Lord provides and for what awaits us in eternity with him.

Give up your love of a world-class car, and live for the love a child brings, a mother shares and a father provides.

Live for God’s love.
