Today I got up early,
Ate and then got dressed.
I walked outside and felt the cold,
And then I got depressed.
Off to work I go,
Every single day.
I work for many hours,
I’d much rather play.
I’d rather play chess or mah jong,
I’d rather play tennis or quoits.
But here I am at the job,
I always show up, of course.
I’d rather take up skiing,
And water skiing, too.
But off I go to toil,
Oh well I’ll say adieu.
