Horrible Bosses – Why I’ll Be Watching This Movie Repeatedly

Are you one of the lucky few who has a great boss? Or are you with 70% of the population, okay let’s be honest here 80%. I did say let’s be honest…90% of the population. Who hate their bosses?

If you’re with the 90% grab a mate, a girlfriend/boyfriend and go see Horrible Bosses if you haven’t already done so. It’ll make you feel a lot better about your own situation at work I promise.

This cheeky film starring Charlie Day, Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston was released in theatres July 8th

The concept of this movie is hilarious to begin with, add in the greatest comedians in America, and you have comic gold. I know so many people who hate their bosses, they’ve probably put a lot of thought into doing what these guys think is a brilliant plan.

Three friends who hate their jobs go to extreme measures when their insane bosses push them to the edge. Watching them in untenable circumstances was the best part.

I know I’m a little behind but I’ve recently seen this movie and I loved it. Usually I’m a little skeptical about watching American comedies, for someone raised in the UK a lot of American comedies can be to bubble gum for me.

Not Horrible Bosses it’s easily my favourite movie for 2011. It has some of the funniest people on the planet in it. Have you seen Charlie in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia? What about Jason Bateman from the cult classic Arrested Development? I love those guys. It also has the gorgeous and ageless Jennifer Aniston. Need I say more?

While I love Jen in romantic comedies I adore her when she flexes her funny bone and gets less mushy.

While Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis deliver memorable lines it’s Charlie Day and Jennifer Aniston that make this film laugh out loud funny for me.

Day’s comedic timing left me laughing so hard I had to catch my breath. Aniston’s performance as a sexual harasser was doubly brilliant. (I love the dark tresses, the colour really made her sparkling baby blues stand out).

These two made the movie for me. Colin Farell is almost unrecognizable as a coke head, and Kevin Spacey was the vilest as a tyrant. ****1/2
