Things You’ll Need:

2-cups coffee grounds
1-cup cold coffee
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 tablespoon antiseptic mouthwash
Mixing bowl
Spoon
Wooden skewer
Cookie sheet
Oven
Potholders
Optional: Acrylic spray sealer

Directions:

Step 1 – Pour 2 cups coffee grounds, 1-cup cold coffee, 2-cups flour, 1-cup salt and 1-tablespoon of antiseptic mouthwash in a mixing bowl. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. The consistency of the mixture is that of playdough. Add more flour to thicken or more coffee to thin.

Step 2 – Shape the coffee ground bead from the coffee dough.

Step 3 – Insert a wooden skewer through the center of the bead. Remove the bead from the skewer and place on a cookie sheet. Make a smaller hole through the center of the bead using a toothpick.

Step 4 – Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 5 – Place the cookie sheet in the oven to bake for 30 minutes.

Step 6 – Remove the coffee ground beads from the oven and allow to cool completely.

Step 7 (Optional) – Spray one to three coats of acrylic spray sealer over the surface of the beads to add shine.

Place unused coffee ground dough in the fridge for storage. Store the unused dough in an air tight container.
