“Christmas in the Park”

The most awesome Christmas light display in the Midwest is located here at Longview Lake Campgrounds in Longview Lake Park. This a very popular attraction and a must see! When the park first opened it included approximately 30 displays and 100,000 lights. Today, the park showcases 175 displays and 300,000 lights! Coming back this year, by popular demand, is the Teddy Bear that blows bubbles! He’s bigger and better then before, standing 20 feet tall, animated with 2,000 points of light. Admission is free but at the end they do ask for donations which will be split between 40 local charities. Last year they raised over $500,000!

This display opens November 23rd and last until December 31st. To find “Christmas in the Park”: Take I-470 to the View High Drive Exit. Exit south onto View High Drive and follow to 3rd Street.
