Downtown Christmas Parade 2011
Every year, the Jackson Recreation and Parks department organizes a Christmas Parade downtown in early December and 2011 is no exception. It’s always exciting to see all the creative float designs made by area artists! This year’s theme is a Red White and Blue Christmas.
The parade starts at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, December 5th.
(In case of rain or inclement weather, it will be rescheduled for Tuesday, December 6th at 6:45.)
A Night With David Phelps
TD Promotions is bringing nationally acclaimed Christian vocalist David Phelps. West Jackson Baptist Church is hosting the event on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
General Admission is $20.00. Artist Circle tickets are $25.

L.A.N.A. Christmas Tour of Homes
This Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association hosts this fundraiser every December. It features a tour of some beautifully decorated historic homes that are absolutely magical at this time of year. More information is available through LANA by contacting them at (731)422-6432
Christmas in the City

USJ’s Annual Holiday and Gift Mart
University School of Jackson holds this fundraiser every year, features thousands of unique gift ideas for shoppers in a festive, holiday setting. This is held on the weekend before Thanksgiving and marks the beginning of shopping season. It features one of the largest gathering of merchants in West Tennessee. This year it will be held on Friday, November 18th and Saturday, November 19th from 9:30 am to 6:00 p.m and on Sunday, November 20th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Loving Lights
In December, Pugh Bourne Park in Oakfield hosts the Loving Lights Fundraiser for the West Tennessee Cerebral Palsy Center. The drive-through light show turns the park into a giant Christmas-themed light display. .For more information (731) 668-3322
