- I go to starbucks almost everyday to get a grande chai latte with 100 mg of caffeine in it and I'm 19 weeks?
- Q: Is this really bad for my baby? do you think I'm wasting money and costing my baby's health as well? and on the days I don't get a chai I get a decaf frappucino with much less caffeine but lots of sugar in it?
- A: You are allowed to have 300 mg of caffeine per day, which is actually quite a lot. If you're only having 100 mg a day, then you're fine. Besides, if you're 19 weeks, then you're past the critical stage of major organ development. Just be careful to watch your sugars because you can get gestational diabetes, plus it just adds on the pounds. But I think you're ok!
