Does Acyclovir really help cold sores? And can the drug be harmful to your body in the longrun?
Q: I have recentaly suspected I have HSV-1 orally. I just had an outbreak 3 weeks ago, which lasted 2 weeks. I was cold sore free for about a week, then all the sudden more popped up on my lips! Im not someone who likes to take perscription drugs, I like to keep it natural. However Ive become desperate, and feel taking Acyclovir is my only chance at living a normal life. Ive tried taking lysine, zinc, vit.C and using abreva….and still no luck!
A: acyclovir is pretty good at staving off herpes. all medications have risks of side effects, but i think acyclovir risks are pretty low.lemon balm works pretty well at reducing already present cold sores, but acyclovir is your best bet for preventing them to begin with… good luck and if it doesnt work, ask your doc about some of the other antivirals.
which of these is the most harmful drug?
Q: SPECIFIC RULES:please help disccussing this matter by answering in this way:*order the list of dugs below from least harmful to the body to most harmful. Consider that each drug is only taken 1 to 10 time in the lifetime of the user, in comun dosages (ex: 1 to 10 cigarrets in lifetime for the drug tobacco)*justify what you can in your order choice————————————–LIST: *cannabis/weed/marijuana (smoked in joints) *alcohol *tobaco *LSD *heroin *cocain *crack *street meth *ecstasy————————————–Here is my opinion:alcohol>tobaco>cannabis>ecstasy>LSD>meth>crack>cocain>heroinits completly made by intuition, its really not prooved by any study or personal experiance or anything, but I dont think its too far off, except for LSD and ecstasy which I know very little about. Please give your opinionnote: if your gonna say… *tobacco because it kills more people *weed because kids do bad things with it *alcohol because its legal and used a lot worldwide *heroin because it creates more dependance *crack because a friend of a friend died from it *anything but weed, weed is good for you…save it!this is about harm to your body and risk of death when using a substance a few times. Please give your opinion.
A: Honestly the harm to your body from any drug taken 1 to 10 times in a lifetime is small to negligible. The problem with many of these substances is their addictive potential combined with long term effects. I’ll try to rate mostly based on risk of overdose.1. Heroin. (also risk from sharing needles)2. Crack3. Meth4. Cocaine5. Ecstasy6. Alcohol7. Tobacco8. Cannabis9. LSD (no physical risk)
