What are the long term and short term effects of smoking weed?
Q: About a gram per week.
A: There are no real long and short term health problems with smoking marijuana. The few things that have been documented through clinical research include problems with learning and information retention (mentioned by another poster), and the possibility of aspergillus infections (that’s a mold that grows on pot). The biggest danger is the laws where you live. Some can be quite harsh. And depending on your age, if you have a drug-related arrest you cannot get financial aid for college (in the U.S.). Marijuana does not kill brain cells. That myth was started by the Nixon administration in 1971 after they paid for fraudulent “research” to prove that pot was neurotoxic. The research has never been able to be replicated by legitimate scientists. Research the laws where you live and see if it is worth it to you to take that risk. The legal piece is often quite dangerous.
Effects from smoking weed? Long term and short term?
Q: Also why is it only illegal in america? Thank u!
A: Long Term:(1) Asthma(2) Lower oxygen levels in your blood which can lead to Alzheimer’s Disease(3) Addiction if you do it for long enough(4) Withdrawal if you get addictedShort Term:(1) Slower response to things(2) Do stupid things(3) Make a fool out of yourself(4) You can become anxious and paranoid(5) You get fat cuz you get the munchies(6) leads to more serious drugs like X, Cocaine, and LSDI’m not going to lie, I’ve tried it about 3 times. But I can’t see myself ever smoking after I get out of college. It is kind of like a phase and I would only ever do it in a social situation. It’s something that isn’t that big of a deal if you do it a couple of times, but to become a “pot-head” is kind of stupid b/c it can ruin your life. If you get caught, that goes on your permanent record and that stinks. If for some reason you are urged to try it you should do it in an intimate and private setting, b/c my brother got caught hotboxing once by the cops and that kinda sucked. Also it’s not only illegal in America haha. It’s basically only legal in the Netherlands. Everywhere else it is still illegal, but maybe the law enforcement just isn’t as good as it is in the U.S. and people can bribe their way out of sticky situations. Also if you are going to try it, it probably won’t work the first one or two times. You might just get really giggly. Also don’t do it when you’ve been drinking a lot. You shouldn’t be doing it at all, but kids like to experiment and you shouldn’t tell yourself never unless you want to like be a teacher or something.
short term effects of weed?
Q: in health we are learning about drugs and how they effect you.for my report i must write on the effects of smoking weed.not long term effects, just what happens while you are smoking it, not afterbtw- does it really cause sexual arousal?
A: Lethargy, rapid heart rate, loss of motor skills, loss of ability to concentrate or use “higher” thought, loss of short term memory, loss of inhibitions and coughing.I think Randombs pretty well said it. To answer your additional question from my experience marijuana made me VERY sexually active. Some of the best sex I had was on weed. But I’ve also heard that in some people it has the oppositve affect too. Also back when I used to smoke all the time the sexual arousal thing kinda went away. In fact I didn’t even really get stoned after a point because my tollerance was so high. But just every now and again yeah it really peaks my libido.
