A: Good question. Look at the way things are today i would say (just a quess) as many people smoke pot as they do cigarettes, being as how politically uncorrect cigarettes have become. But the tobacco industry and cotton industry are to of the very reasons the outlawed it. To help the southern farmer not have to compete against a weed that will grow in harsh conditions that is more useful than cotton ever would be. Hemp is more or less the male for of Marijuana but has no THC, so you cant get high yet they throw both into the same category. Fact is back when it was made illegal people had to do more for themselves, and would have used hemp for a lot of uses. But they would have grown it in there own backyard since it was so easy. So the powers that be had to do away with something like that and put in something you were going to spend your money on. The website shows hemp paper is the best. hemp rope is one of the best. Hemp oil, ect… look at how many different industries could fall under that 1 weed.

A: The seeds are not illegal. If you buy any use a reliable brand. Theres no need to buy them via mail order, if you live in the UK then there will be a shop selling them within 50 miles of your home.About 10 years ago I brought some seeds via mail order from a Dutch seed bank, when they arrived the package had notices upon it stating that it had been opened by customs but when they saw it was seeds which aren’t illegal they resealed it and sent it to me.Shops can sell them ; as hemp seeds have always been used as bird seed and fishing bait although we all know it would madness to spend £80 on seeds and then use them as fishing bait.
