how could child abuse become the next plague?
Q: i did a report on this.related it to the bubonic plague, black death.but i just need some simple reasons why child abuse could become the next plague.what exactly is a plague?i know its a disease that spreads and kills people. but obviousely child abuse isnt a disease, so i dont understand.so what is the basic definition of a plague?its just abuse in general.neglect is also included:)
A: I think that in this situation you could say that a “plague” is something that’s passed on quickly, that effects a huge amount of people in a small amount of time, and that leaves devastating affects. Lets look at the black plague, it was carried on by rats which were thought to have been innocent (without disease). Yet little did people know that the flees on these rats had the disease and killed them.(I have long line of abuse in my family, myself having been affected as well)In child abuse it’s passed down from generation to generation. Insulting them is thought to be innocent, without affects but it breaks their spirit (like the plague kills you). Hitting gives the same affect and sexual abuse is even worse. Note that each of these are thought of as innocent while it’s happening. Parent uses the belt on the kid, they don’t think anything of the effects. Parent mocks their kid, still not thinking of the effects. Sexual abuse, no thinking done either. It’s like the plague where just “bam!” the effects just hit you unexpectedly (in this circumstance for the children). Lets look at abusers today. Parents who abuse are always triggered by their insecurity. (anger is a secondary emotion. When becoming angry you become angry because you’re either sad, or frustrated, etc … you’re never angry without another reason. And insecurity triggers the first emotion) Lets look at abuse victims, they’re insecure. Lets look at half the world, everyone’s insecure. It’s a thin line that differentiates people who abuse from people who are neutral. If I can come up with more, I’ll be sure to post it. I hope that helped.Curiosity, what sort of abuse do you mean? Sexually, physically, psychologically? Because the latter is done in many, many, many households. It’s rare to find parents who don’t psychologically abuse their kids nowadays (which is sad)
