Q: My husband and I just got married, and we’ve been together for over 2 year, less than 3. Between that time period, we have been trying to concieve, and no pregnancies at all. The issue is, Im Suffering with chronic PID (pelvic inflamatory Diesease) that produced me a stage 1 cerviical cancer 3 years ago. My husband also had Hodgkins Lymphoma and had to go for Chemo and Radiation- Now, we want children soo bad, and we havent had luck. The issue is he is 29 and im 21- we dont wanna wait any longer. What should we do? We are considerng IVF and hormone help. Who do we speak to? a regular doctor or a OB/GYN. We also took the male sperm count take home test which said that he had less than 2millin sperm count. HELP US!
A: Normally you cant just go to IVF unless you have tried all other options with your insurance. You will have to have all the fertility test and hubby will have to have a sperm test. You can talk to your OB or family Dr and they can refer you to a fertility specialist. I know its hard and you guys have had alot of battles but keep your head up and it will all work out in the end. Ive been ttc for near 3 years now so I know how you feel but sometimes just some clomid, shots, or even diet can help. Good luck!
