What does the Bible say about Kuru?
Q: After the flood it was obviously only Noah, his family and a bunch of animals left on this planet.Noah had to decide which humans were going to carry the diseases which only occur in humans. Humans are the only host for numerous diseases (just to name a few: measles, typhus, typhoid fever, smallpox, leprosy, poliomyelitis, five types of syphilis, hepatitis, shingles, four types of rnalarial parasites, two types of tapeworm, an intestinal worm, hookworm, three agents of filariasis, two species of schistosoma, pinworm, three types of lice, various types of fever)The disease “kuru” only occurs in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.Which family member did he instruct to go and pick the brains of a kuru sufferer so that the natives of the highlands of Papua New Guinea can enjoy the disease today? Is there anything about this in the Bible? I really can’t find it 🙁
A: Noah and his kinfolk must of been some really disease ridden folk seeing how they had to carry all living things aboard the ark. I love how you got one answer that says that the continents where in different places a mere few thousand years ago. Again it shows how ignorant some people are of science. The tectonic plates do not shift that quickly, if they did own planet’s surface would be molten and unsuitable for life. It takes millions of years for those continents to move, its a very slow and gradual process… much like biological evolution.
Has my degenerative disc disease progressed quickly? Comparsion mri 2006 and 2009?
Q: 2006 mri results w/ contrast: There is some motion artifact through the cord (what does this mean?), C5-6 There is a broad-based shallow disk protrusion asymmetric to the left. There is a mild impression on the anterior thecal sac diffusely. There is also a very shallow medial foraminal component.C6-7 There is a moderate sized central and right paracentral disk protrusion. There is mass effect on the right side of the thecal sac and it likely affects the right C7 nerve root. T2-3 Moderate sized central and left paracentral disk protrusion with mass effect on the left side of the thecal sac. It comes close to contacting the thoracic cord. Impression: Disk protrusions at C5-6, C6-7, and T2-32009 mri results without contrast: Mild facet degenerative changes in the mid cervical spine are asymmetric to the rightC5-6 There is disk bulging with a broad based right foraminal disk protrusion. There is mild covering spur. Moderate right foraminal stenosis results with right C6 nerve root encroachment. C6-7 There is a similar broad based right foraminal disk protrusion with mild covering spur. Moderate right foraminal stenosis and right C7 nerve root encroachment result. Inceidentally noted is disk bulging and a shallow left paracentral disk protrusion at T2-3, imaged only in the sagittal plane. Impression: Two level degenerative disk disease in ther cervical spine with moderate sized disk osteophyte complexes in the right foramen at C5-6 and C6-7. There is resulting foraminal compromise and probable encroachment on the exiting nerve roots. Left paracentral disk protrusion at T2-3. They also did mri in 2009 on my L spine with results: Five lumbar type vertebral bodies are assumed. Small Schmorl’s nodes are present at T11-12, T12-L1, and L1-2 levels.Sagittal images demonstrate mild diskal desiccation at T12-L1, but no significant disk bulging. L4-5 The disk is well hydrated with minimal bulging. There is a mild bilateral facet hypertrophy and ligamentum flavum thickening. L5-S1 The disk is well hydrated. There is mild bilateral facet hypertrophy. Impression: Mild lumbar spondylosis as described with mild bilateral facet hypertrophy at L4-5 and L5-S1
