I get a big “no”, and just skip out on grain-based carbs altogether, on most days.My diet over the past few weeks has mainly relied on salmon, mangoes, bananas, and way, way too much artificially sweetened instant pudding and artificially sweetened hot chocolate. I have to keep my weight down for work, and I know I have emotional eating issues that flare up occasionally, so I use the pudding and hot chocolate as crutches. Why would my brain all of a sudden decide that it not only don’t crave vegetables and grains, but that I “shouldn’t” under any circumstances have them? Any ideas?
A: It might be the stress of such a busy schedule that is making you crave the unhealthy foods. Try and gradually reintroduce them into your diet in very small portions and in time you will get used to them again. Maybe try to disguise the taste with a sauce and that might help.
