A: There will be a hole like on the ear, if you go up to big gauges it will will increase the size of the hole and be more noticable. It usually takes 8 weeks for piercings to heal totally so that you can leave out the bar for an entire day w/o any problems getting them back in. If you take it out prior to 8 weeks be prepared to have to wiggle the thing around in the skin and possibly cause blood if you take it out for a day. The scar does not fade sorry t o tell you, so if you can hang then go for it. I do like them on guys, they usually look good.
