A: Personally, i take whey protein within 30 minutes after my workout. The blood is rushing, and the vessels are dilated. It is the optimum time for whey to nourish your muscles. I’ve tried taking whey before body building, but it did not feel beneficial. When you work out, most of your oxygen is supplying your muscles, but if your body is digesting whey protein at the same time, the oxygen supply shifts to your gastrointestinal tract leaving your muscles with minimum amount of oxygen.
