Q: Me and my friend are working out how many calories we eat a day, and she doesnt know hers. this is what she has in ana average daybreakfast- 2 slices of bread with chocolate spreadWaterDinner- Ham sandwichOrange squashLunch- 2 chicken fillets and a handful of chips.Cup of cokeSnacks:Pear2 bars of chocolateA tin of tunaAnd is this normal for a 14 year old girl. My friend is classed as overweight, this is what she eats on an average day, and she does a decnt amount of exericse. Why?
A: A lot of these answers seem to be advertising rather than helping you understand your question. You can research roughly how many calories you eat on the internet, so I’ll leave you to do that, or other answerer’s. This is a good site:http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/calories/calorie_counter.htmI just wanted to say that those foods that contain a lot more carbohydrates tend to have more calories. I noticed that your friend seem to have a lot of bread, which is good for keeping up energy but not good if you want to reduce calories. Don’t get me wrong, a high carb breakfast is good to get you going, but cutting back on the carbs in the rest of the day will help her lose weight. Also, she needs to calculate her BMR, this will tell you how many calories she burns in the day just by staying alive; then she needs to see how many calories she consumes in the day. If she consumes the same amount she burns, her weight will not change. Here’s where you can do that:http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/At this age, it is important to eat healthy – she doesn’t seem to eat a lot – it’s just that she eats foods that are high in calories. If she replaces SOME of these foods with healthier (although less appealing) options, this may benefit her.Hope this helps. x
I’d like to know the approximate number of calories I consume each day? This is the average I eat each day…
Q: but some days I eat worse and some days I eat a lot better so it all balances itself out!!! For breakfast, I always have 1 and 1/2 servings of Frosted Shredded Wheat Cereal, without milk, but a 1/2 cup of PRice Chopper brand Orange juice to drink. At lunchtime, I eat a Butterball Turkey Ham sandwich (ham made from turkey so it’s kinda vegetarian) with 2 slices of multigrain bread, with a few lettuce leafs on it, but no mayo. And I have another glass of orange juice. For a snack, I will have an apple. (around 3:30)Dinnertime, I usually eat a Tyson Chicken breast, with a serving of peas on the side, and a small glass of 1% milk.At dessert, a Skinny Dipper. (skinny cow ice cream snack)It would be great if someone just gave me an estimate!!!!oh and by the way, I do weight training for 5 minutes and cardio for 15 a day, then find any chance I can to take a walk, either in my neighborhood with a friend, or going to the grocery store with my parents.
A: The estimates of around 1200 calories are probably pretty close to your calorie intake.I took the time to read your other questions. You are a young teen aged girl and you weight under 105. Get away from the calorie counting and get on with healthy living.Repeating the same foods every day is not a way to a balanced diet. Where’s the calcium? You need a lot more calcium in your diet as a growing young woman. You need to switch up the veggies and have peas one day, carrots another, etc. The different colored foods have different nutritional benefits. Same with changing up your main course.Skinny isn’t attractive. Healthy is. If you want a healthier diet back away from the processed lunch meats and go for foods with more nutrition and less chemicals. Read labels. If you cannot pronounce what is on the ingredient list don’t eat the food.Get off the calorie kick and get on the nutrition kick. Healthy eating will give you healthy and attractive looking hair and skin and fingernails and keep you growing as a young teen should.OK, that’s it from Gus. Go have a frosty cold glass of milk or make a low fat milkshake now! 🙂
Will I lose weight if I only eat 1200 calories a day?
