A: What you have left over is vegetable broth. Try cutting up some carrots, potatoes, celery, onion and adding them to the water. Add some spices like salt, pepper, parsley. You can taste it and see if it is like a vegetable soup, if not you can add some tomatoe puree. You can also add peas, green beans and corn. This will make a hearty vegetable soup. Q: I usually like spinach salads, with garlic, croutons, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts (mmm)… I know the darker the leaves, the better, but I’ve heard that raw spinach leaves impede calcium absorption? A: i LOVE my dad’s salad….try it.it’s romaine lettuce with small tomatoes, thinly sliced mushrooms, feta cheese, roasted pine nuts, and chopped olives. you’d mix all that with a VERY light italian vinaigrette. trust me. if you love dressing like i do, you DON’T wanna put too much on this salad cuz it takes away all the good flavors but definitely put some on.my favorite would be the salad we make at work. it’s a pizza salad…it basically has toppings a pizza would. like sliced pepperoni, olives, mozzarella cheese mixed with shredded parmesan cheese, and tomatoes…that also comes with an italian vinaigrette.
