My cramps are horrible on birth control pills….what do I do?
Q: Okay…Ive always had a heavy flow and bad cramps. My uterus is tilted backwards slightly. So my doctor put me on birth control pills. This is my first cycle on them and I am having severe cramps. Last night the contractions and the pain was causing me to sweat, to sob for an hour, and to vomit. Ranking a pain scale from 1-10. 1 being nothing and a 10 being when I smacked my entire collarbone right in half………..last nights cramps were a 9. I thought I had TSS or a kidney stone. I have been taking advil and ibuprofen all day long and still having sharp pains, when any other time I had cramps….800mg ibuprofin kills the pain. My bleeding is lighter, but I would rather have a heavy period then being in horrible pain. In fact, I took an 800mg ibuprofin and 2 advil an hour ago WITH a heating pad….and Im completely exhausted with this pain. I hear that it takes a coule of cycles for it to balance out? But I also hear that it may not. I just don’t know if I can go through another week of this. What should I do? And what would happen if I just stopped taking my pills tomorrow? (Tomorrow would be day number 5).
A: They take a while to settle down, the same happened to me.

Q: What birth control makes you gain weight?As odd as this may sound.. I actually WANT a birth control that makes you put on a few extra pounds. I’ve been on the Mirena for 2 years and I’ve lost 15 lbs… I’ve tried EVERYTHING to put some weight on (yes I’ve gone to the doctor and I’ve done test after test after test).. and nothing has worked. I am finally getting my IUD taken out (It causing me constant cysts on my ovaries) so I’d like to find a BC that makes you gain weight.. so I can kill two birds with one stone. Thanks!
A: depo provera makes a lot of women gain weight.. but it can deplete some bone mass if taken for a long time, but that can be counter acted by taking a calcium supplement..
What would you do if you feelt like you where being singled out?
Q: Hi, Im a 25 year old mother of one. Im in my second and final year studying body therapy and reflexology. I love holistic therapys and have great interest in what im doing. I work hard and despite finding it hard to juggle family life and college do well in tests. My daughter has recently been suffering with respiratory problems and has recently been diagnosed with asthma. Due to this ive missed 4 days which is actually only 12hrs and i have caught up on all course work.Recently due to the recession and over crowding the college has cracked down on attendance. In the rules it says that you may be excused due to health problems with medical certs or for family reasons. The head of the course for some reason took a dislike to me last year and she rang me warning me about my attendance even though she knew the reason for my absence. I assumed she was ringing everyone who missed time as i knew that most of the students had missed just as much time as myself some even more. When i arrived at college the next day no-one knew what i was talking about when i asked around further it turned out that only 2 other girls had recieved phone calls. Then when i was working in class the tutor stood over me for most of the class pointing out all the negatives and never any positives as you can imagine i felt quite distressed as i didn’t see it as constructive criticism like i usually would it felt more intimidating as her tone was very patronizing. Since this has started my health has started to deteriate i cant eat properly or sleep and am very anxious and depressed. I dont want to let this come between me and my diploma it has knocked my confidence and is making me feel inadequate where as last year i feelt great really confident in my ability’s. Is there anything i can do that doesnt mean i have to have a big confrontation with this person. I have just in recent years recovered from a sort of breakdown after the death of both my grandparents(they where like my parents) and the birth of my daughter(I had a rare condition when pregnant) Things got too much for me to handle i was very depressed and i started having extreme panic attacks that where so bad i ended up unable to leave the house and lost 2 stone beause i couldnt eat properly i also adopted some OCD like patterns and had to do things in certain sequences as i felt if i didn’t it would bring on attacks. I have only in the last year started to leave the county so Im very cautious about the effect this situation is having on me. I worked very hard to get this far and i dont want to ever go back there.
A: You know what I went through the exact same thing in college from a teacher of one class. She would lean over only me and whisper in my ear ” you ask one more question and you will make me think your to stupid to be in my class”. I took this for several days as I am a person also that has panic attacks, depression, and seem to only learn from hands on much better than books. So one day she did that again and I got up from class went to the office to one who could help me and told them what she was doing to me and school was out for the day as I walked down the hall she came after me Im 5ft,2in 98lbs she touched my shoulder and I turned around quickly and took her skinny neck and pushed her up against the wall and said its finished you hear me don’t you ever get close to me again. she was trembling. I never had a problem with her again. These teachers are preditors that have low self esteem and build themselves up on putting some one else down. YOU ARE PRECIOUS, YOU ARE A GO GETTER, YOU ARE WORTHY. STOP TAKING THE GARBAGE EVERYONE IS DISHING OUT. WALK FAST TOWARD HER OR HIM AND LET THEM KNOW ITS FINISHED AND YOU ARE STOPPING IT. NOW!!!!!!!!!
