Why do I have such low blood pressure?
Q: Why is my blood pressure so low? It’s like 80/60. The doctor said it’s fine but when I stand up everything turns white. It’s not dehydration because I drink more water than anyone I know… and I don’t think it would be because of anemia because I eat a lot of iron. I didn’t tell my doc about it so I def will next time. Also I never made the connection until recently that the standing up thing probably has to do with the low bp
A: possible dehyration, possible anemia, all sorts of possibilities. did you tell the doctor about things turning “white”? maybe you should.
Do I have low blood pressure and why?
Q: My blood pressure read at 66/44 (I’m not sure how accurate this is because it was done at home with a piece of equipment from boots), is that low? Another question is that why would it be so low if i drink 4 (sugar-free) red bulls a day, smoke around 10 cigarettes a day and eat quite alot of fatty foods, I get dizzy quite often if I’ve been sitting down and then stand quickly and get heart palpitations.
A: there’s not such a thing as low blood pressure if you are adjusted to it and doesn’t cause you symptoms.-the lower the better (without getting extreme off course).-what you describe, does it happen to you how often?cause you might have ortostatic hypotension, that is that your blood pressure goes down when you are standing up, and gets better when you lay down.-you should go to a doc.-and try to change your life style cause you have all the risk factors for heart diseases.-
why is my blood pressure low?
Q: The other day i went to give blood, well it came out so fast i assumed thats why i passed out and my blood pressure was low! Well then i went to this take it to heart thing and my blood pressure was also low! Then i went to get a tattoo today and he finished the tattoo and i was waiting on my sister and i could tell my blood pressure was dropping ! But before i knew it i passed out again! What causes this and what can i do to stop it ??? Ive always had good blood pressure so im not sure why lately its been low and ive passed out twice!?
A: The good news is, low BP is better than high BP anyday. Low BP can be from standing up too quickly, not eating enough, a million different things. It won’t hurt you, unless you “bottom out.” In that case you would just pass out & get really weak. You probably won’t bottom out though. You are just passing out. Some people have bouts with low BP then it returns to normal. Low BP isn’t a big concern.. it can just be annoying and kind of scary when you almost pass out. Try standing up slower, not jumping up from a relaxed position. Make sure you are eating right, especially breakfast to get you going. Keep yourself hydrated. Exercise will help keep your BP at a healthy level too.My bp stays around 100/60 or lower. I am on medication though. I’ll take low BP over high BP any day of the year.
